Some of the Best Chocolates in the World

To those in the know, Cecilia Tessieri Rabassi, the first woman in the world to obtain the title of Maître Chocolatier, is one to follow.

Twenty years ago, after years of studying chocolate in Belgium, Germany and France, Cecilia Tessieri Rabassi returned to her native Italy and opened Amadei Cecilia. She grew the small company into an internationally renowned producer with over 120 products sold worldwide and numerous prestigious awards. Then, longing for the simplicity of a small craft workshop, Cecilia started a new company in her own name. Returning to her origins has brought a new creativity and passion to her work. She said, “The creation of chocolate is like a dance. Every movement must be perfect, and perfection is only achieved by trying and trying again, with sacrifice, perseverance and passion.”At DeLaurenti, we are honored to be able to carry five of her chocolate bars. They are among the best in the world and make an extraordinary gift for the chocolate lover in your life.

    Note Dark Milk Chocolate
Note blends elements of milk and dark chocolate. Its high cacao content adds complexity to the approachable milk chocolate. Opening with the smell of warm chocolate and the taste of light cognac, creamy raw butter and cocoa nib shine through on the tongue.

    Myway 80% Dark
Myway — the name says it all  — is made to Cecilia’s refined taste. It opens with an elegant scent of pine and pinecones, then a persistent dark chocolate with a slight astringency on the tongue, and a rich, smooth finish.

In addition to the CTR chocolate bars, we have one of Seattle’s best selection of premium chocolates, including those highlighted below. They’re all available in-store and online for delivery.

    Ara Chocolat
This Parisian chocolatier specializes in single-origin bars. Perhaps the finest is made with Porcelana Criollo, a rare cocoa variety with an unparalleled flavor praised for its uniquely sweet creaminess.

    Karuna Chocolate
Located in South Tyrol, a German-speaking region in Northern Italy, Karuna uses ethically grown, organic fine cocoa beans from Latin America, Asia, and Africa to produce some of the best single-origin bean-to-bar chocolate we’ve tasted.

    Mission Chocolate
Brazil’s most-awarded chocolatier, Mission Chocolate, is a renowned farm-to-bar producer of world-class chocolate bars made almost exclusively from Brazilian-grown cacao beans, along with fruits and nuts native to Brazil.

    Aruntam Chocolate
This Italian chocolate producer is led by Ecuadorian founder Pia Rivera. Her lab in San Giuliano Milanese is organically certified, and Pia personally sources raw materials and cacao to produce Aruntam’s minimally-processed chocolate bars, winners of numerous international awards.
